Harmonograph
Resonances and oscillations of a self-built machine become visible as fine line drawings. Each piece is one of a kind.
How the drawings are made
The harmonograph is a self-built machine that transfers the finest oscillations onto paper through coupled pendulums. Depending on amplitude, frequency and damping, completely different line drawings emerge – no two sheets are alike.
We draw with ink on paper, document the respective settings, and in the end select the pieces that convince us most.
